§ 2.06. Quorum, voting.

  • (a)

    A majority of the members of the council shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business, and the affirmative vote of a majority of the council shall be necessary to repeal any ordinance or take any official action in the name of the city, except as otherwise provided in this Charter or by the general laws of the State of Texas.

    (b)

    The ayes and noes shall be taken upon the passage of all ordinances or resolutions and the vote of each member shall be recorded in the minutes.
